This video series ran on the Lake Erie Monsters website and social channels during their 2016 Calder Cup Playoff run. I shot, edited, and distributed the videos on the day of the game.
Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters will make their first home appearance of the 2016 American Hockey League’s Calder Cup Playoffs Saturday, April 23rd at 7:00 p.m at Quicken Loans Arena when they take on the Rockford IceHogs in game three in their best-of-five game first-round series. After a strong regular season showing at home, Monsters players have high expectations for their first taste of playoff hockey at The Q.
On Saturday, April 23rd, the Lake Erie Monsters defeated the Rockford IceHogs by a final score of 5-3 to claim the team’s first Calder Cup Playoff series victory in franchise history, three games to none. With the win, the Monsters advanced to the best-of-seven game Central Division Finals vs. the winner of the Grand Rapids Griffins’ and Milwaukee Admirals’ first-round series.
In 2015 the Cleveland (then Lake Erie) Monsters announced a multi-year NHL/AHL affiliation with the Columbus Blue Jackets, uniting two of the biggest hockey cities in the state of Ohio. Columbus Blue Jackets Prospects found a home in Cleveland and fans in both cities found ties as players moved up and down through the system, as well as up and down Interstate 71.
This series began during the Monsters 2015-16 season as a way to get the fanbase more familiar with the Columbus organization, and has carried on in the 2016-17 season as a way for fans to keep tabs on Monsters Alumni along with the latest CBJ news. The series ended up being very popular with fans and even caught interest of a mutual corporate partner of the Monsters and Blue Jackets.

I am starting to put together some of my GoPro footage after purchasing some accessories for it. One of the accessories was a harness for my dog Shengo, who has really embraced her role as a camerawoman! Here is a boat ride from her perspective:
I recently purchased a GoPro camera and hope to start putting together some videos from it soon. Until then, I will be posting some shorter clips on my Instagram: @jojana10 . Suggestions for GoPro video ideas are welcome!
