When Arvell Nelson signed with the Cleveland Gladiators during the second week of 2017 Arena Football League season, his position on the roster read: “Jack Linebacker.” Since beginning his AFL career in 2012, Nelson has also seen time at wide receiver and defensive back, but as we enter Week 6 of the Gladiators’ season, the position next to his name reads the same as when he began his career: “Quarterback.”
The Cleveland Monsters hockey players and staff participated in Movember to help raise awareness for Men’s Health issues (clevelandmonsters.com/movember). Social media was used to drive fundraising efforts along with in-arena marketing and the November 26, 2016 Mullets and Movember Night themed game.
The $7,426 total was the largest amount the team has raised for the Movember Foundation.
