Social and digital media were an integral part of the Monsters 2016 Calder Cup Championship. Fans were encouraged to use the #BattleTogether which trended in Cleveland during the playoffs and across the United States after the finals. The game winning goal made it in the SportsCenter Top 10 after the highlight was distributed via Twitter.
The coverage didn’t stop after the game. The Monsters hosted a Championship Plaza Party and then took part in the Cleveland Cavaliers #OneForTheLand Championship parade in the following days.

Some additional unique elements of the Monsters Calder Cup run that were captured on social media included crossing off the the countdown on the dasher board and the player of the game getting to wear the Tuxedo t-shirt.
